These Mountains Are Ghosts - Legacy Of War
Let us start with the first things first: Congratulations to These mountains are ghosts for the nice artwork of this release. The drawing with the mammoths is really appealing. It really catches your eye and makes you pay attention to this release. And as we all know, drawing attention to your product is a hard but important part.
On legacy of war we are given 5 songs by These mountains are ghosts. There main influence is still Mastodon, but I also hear echoes of technical, odd timings hardcore bands like Botch and even Every time I die in here.
All the songs are executed very well, the vocals (even the clean ones) are very convincing and in Horns ablaze they deliver a very nice solo.
I would also like to give an honorable mention to the song Born in the grave. There is a very convincing clean sung part that makes this song stick in your head once you heard it. These mountains are ghosts delivered a very fine record with Legacy of war so make sure to check this out.
