Signs Of Darkness - Age Of Decay
Signs
Of Darkness releases their 4th full length album out of 8 releases. These boys
have been around since 1995 and
have built themselves quit a reputation in the past but alas it didn’t always
work. Since 2010 they have a stable line-up and so they release
“The Age of Decay”.
We get 11 songs that span about 41 minutes and that continues along the lines of the Apostate Ep from 2011. Every record that Signs of Darkness produces brews on the best and leaves out the flaws of the previous album.
The Swedish feel that Apostate produced continues and the known Signs-style is never far away. Once again Signs of Darkness rips & blasts its way through the songs with ghastly riffs & vocals, adding to the melancholic feel that is empowered by the acoustic opening and ending of the album.
This album proves Signs of Darkness’ right of existence! A strong release for Shiver Records to prove 2015 is their year! Next time SOD should leave the Nazgûl-screams out and put some more effort in the artwork. But that will all be forgiven once you start listening to this album
