Seventh Circle - Not Worth Saving
Somewhere in the archives of this website you can find my review of Seventh circle first ep.In there I said that seventh circle was an excellent band that bore similarities to bands like Nails, Trap them and All pigs must die.
What we have here is a new release of these guys on the Belgian tape label Kick out the jams. On this release Seventh Circle deliver 4 songs that feel like the logical follow up of their first ep. The songs are still a furious mix of crust, grind, black metal and modern hardcore, but they have definitely taken on a darker tone. I also get the impression that this time around there are more H8000 influences in their music. Some of the riffs (especially in Among the spineless) bring Liar to mind. The conclusion is that if you like aggressive, dark music you should give this record a change. You can listen to it here, and don't forget to pick up the tape at a show or through the Kick out the jams page.
