Resistance - The Seeds Within

Picture
And again we have a review of a band with Jonas Sanders on drums. I think he has spend all of 2014 in the studio laying down drumwork for his several bands and projects.

This time we have the new record of Resistance called The seeds within. Resistance did tour with bands like Sepultura, Misery index and All shall perish.

All of the bands mentioned are good fits for this band. Because Resistance play this groovy kind of metal with influences from thrash metal, death metal and hardcore. Other bands that popped up in my mind were Hatesphere, Lamb of god, Unearth and off course Pantera.

I think their singer Xerus needs a honourable mentioning He did a great performance on this record. And I would also give bonuspoints for the facts that they avoided clean singing and did not overdo on the beatdown style mosh riffs but managed to write good, captivating songs instead.

All in all this is a record that you should check out, if you like the modern death/thrash/hardcore hybrid sound.
