Ostrogoth - Last Tribe Standing
Ostrogoth has been in the media a
lot in recent weeks, because of the dark times they endured after the death of
their guitarist "Rudy Vercruysse".
Now they will get some more attention by the media, but on a more positive note.
Their album "Last Tribe Standing" is a typical Ostrogoth album where guitarist "Whiteshark" was still present in every aspect. “Last Tribe Standing” brings you 4 new songs of which everyone can be satisfied with the result.
Is it something original? No. There are no crazy twists and turns. Everything is very tight and so it should be.
This new album contains 8 tracks actually, 4 of them from the live EP "Full Moons Eye" consider it a gift from Ostrogoth. With a cocktail of fresh blood, old hands and energy, they leave their mark on the upper Belgian Metal level.
The ones that know Ostrogoth will be disappointed that it took 3 years for 4 new songs and I share that feeling. It’s a pity, if you already listened to “Full Moons Eye a few times or have seen Ostrogoth live these last years, you will know the songs in the meantime.
But I'm going to conclude with a positive note: the 4 new songs that they bring are overwhelmingly good and there will be many that agree.
